Pre-Primary Weekly Memo
2 August 2024
Dear Parents
We are delighted to share the highlights of our week, beginning with a heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in our spectacular production of 'The Wizard of Oz'. The performances were truly amazing, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our learners and staff. To add a touch of magic to our week, we were greeted with a beautiful rainbow on Monday morning, captured in a photo taken right in our school driveway.
Friendship
Friendships play a pivotal role in a child's development, offering a foundation of emotional and social benefits that can influence their well-being and success throughout life.
The Benefits of Good Friendships

A Library Adventure
The world is a wonderful place and there is so much to explore and learn. Curiosity is a magical trait that we hardly need to encourage in young children, but sometimes parents also need a little help.
This delightful book is a winner! It is all about animals, which children love to talk about. The questions are quirky and a bit weird, which will probably lead to more questions, which is exactly what we like to encourage!
How does a baby orca sleep? Why is it a bad idea to lick a frog? Why do spiders do cartwheels? Why does a blue whale have pink poo?
And then there is a fabulous “Would you rather…?” game:
Would you rather have armour like a pangolin or spikes like a pufferfish? If you were an animal baby, would you rather sit in dad’s pouch like a seahorse, or in mum’s pouch like a kangaroo?
Look out for the Miles Kelly “Curious Questions and Answers” series: many enjoyable and informative conversations are guaranteed!
