Dear Parents
Today, the children enjoyed making colourful fruit kebabs - a fun way to explore patterns, practice counting, and enjoy fresh fruit. Activities like this show how learning and healthy eating can go hand in hand.
A balanced breakfast helps children start the day with energy and focus. Including a variety of fruits each morning supports growth, concentration, and overall well-being. Simple choices like bananas, berries, or apple slices make a big difference and keep little tummies satisfied until snack time.
We want to give a heartfelt thank you to our fabulous support staff who help with morning drop-off each day. Your cheerful presence and calm assistance make the school run a pleasure and a breeze for everyone!
A gentle reminder to parents: if you’d like to walk your children to class, please use the parking bays on the road. The driveway is reserved for quick drop-and-go, helping everyone move safely and smoothly in the morning.
Thank you again to our wonderful ladies for all that you do - you make such a difference every day!
We are so excited to share some very special news!
A big congratulations to the following families on the arrival of their beautiful newborn babies:

We are so happy for each of these families during this precious and exciting time. Wishing you all love, cuddles, and special memories! 💕
For safety reasons, no learners are permitted to wait outside the College gates at any time.
Parents entering our campus are required to have a car identification sticker, which can be collected from reception. By displaying the sticker on your car, you will gain easy access to the College premises.
Parents are encouraged to download the Ed-admin Multi Portal App. This platform will be used to send important notifications and updates, and it will also provide access to children’s reports when they are released.
Grandads are wonderful! Their grandchildren are very important to them, they often have time to play and read stories and can surprise us with their unique skills. This joyful book by Ben Faulks with its bouncy rhyming text celebrates the precious relationship between children and grandfathers. It introduces a list of grandads with amazing skills, like a builder, magician, chef, inventor, explorer. But their special skill still remains the love they have for their grandchildren.
This gorgeous book was followed up with a version for the grandmothers: Grandmas are the Greatest. Here is the link to enjoy with your little ones. Which granny is their favourite?

As Easter approaches, we are excited to launch our annual Easter Egg Outreach Project! This year, we kindly ask you to donate Easter eggs that will bring joy to those who need it most.
The Easter eggs collected during March and April will be lovingly distributed to:
Ria Abel Old Age Home, spreading smiles to the elderly in our community
Elundini School for Children with Special Needs, brightening the day of children who deserve extra love and care
We encourage all our families to participate and help make this Easter a little sweeter for others. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference and show our children the joy of giving. 💛
Thank you for helping us share love, kindness, and Easter cheer!
This week has been full of joy, curiosity, and hands-on learning. The children were so excited to meet the prefects from the Secondary Faculty, and their faces lit up even more when they met our school mascot!
In the classroom, we explored healthy habits in fun and creative ways. The children enjoyed stamping with real fruits and vegetables and later tasting some fresh ones, made colourful fruit baskets, and created watermelon art by tearing and sticking pieces to their designs. They also showed wonderful teamwork and imagination as they built a “bridge” with jumbo blocks, taking turns to walk across it and jump off safely.
To finish the week on a sweet note, the children made their own fruit kebabs - a healthy and delicious treat that celebrated all the fun, learning, and creativity they shared.
👂👀👃 Our Five Senses 👅✋
This week in the Tigger and Piglet classes, we explored the wonderful world of Our Senses! The children had so much fun learning about how our bodies help us see, hear, smell, taste and touch.
During art time, we drew our own body pictures. The children carefully added eyes, ears, noses, mouths, arms and legs, and then created repeat patterns around the border of their pages. This helped us build early maths skills while being creative at the same time!
During morning ring, we focused on body awareness. The children used small stickers and placed them on different body parts as we named them. We stuck stickers on our knees, elbows, shoulders, noses and more! The children loved moving and stretching as they learned the words, making it a fun way to connect learning with their own bodies.
One of the highlights of the week was making our special headbands with big ears on the sides. On the front, it said: “My Listening Ears”
We spoke about how we use our listening ears at school - to hear our teachers, our friends, and our favourite songs. The children were so proud wearing their headbands and showing how beautifully they could listen during story time.
It has been a sensory-filled week of learning, creativity and discovery. We are so proud of how the children are growing in confidence and body awareness every day! 🌟
The Importance of Role Play
In our Grade 00 classrooms, role play is part of every day. While it might look like “just play,” it is full of discovery and fun.
Through pretend play, children practise important social skills - sharing, taking turns, negotiating roles, and talking with friends. They also solve problems together, make decisions, and come up with creative ideas as they act out different scenarios.
Our fantasy corner is always a favourite. Here, the children dress up, explore, and express themselves freely. They become doctors, superheroes, chefs, or anything their imagination allows. This kind of play sparks creativity, confidence, and new ways of thinking.
With lots of props and materials involved, children also learn to tidy up, help each other, and take care of their space. The role play area supports social, emotional, cognitive, and language growth, making it an important part of everyday learning.
Thank you for supporting us as we guide the children through these joyful, playful experiences each day.
This week was filled with excitement and school spirit for our Grade R learners! We loved welcoming the school prefects to our classroom and meeting our mascot - a moment that brought plenty of smiles.
As part of our “My School” theme, the children created detailed artworks of the school using fine liners and permanent markers, and then brought them to life with watercolours.
Edward Bears enjoyed a visit to the JP Library with Mrs Crouse, where they explored the joy of books and shared their favourite stories. They also visited the auditorium to learn more about music recitals and the instruments they are interested in playing.
Kangas toured more of the PP campus and used Google Maps to explore all three campuses, zooming in on the buildings, pools, sports fields and play areas. They also spoke about innovation and strengthened their understanding of number symbols and number names through group work using dice.
Rabbits focused on fun activities centred around the letter P. They painted patterns, practised pom-pom sorting and sequencing, made “pizza” using Pataplume plasticine, wrote on pear-shaped paper, and even enjoyed a picnic outside.
Owls learnt the sound 'p', practised correct letter formation, and expanded their knowledge about our school by learning when it was built as well as the names of our principal and deputy principals.
It truly was a wonderful week of creative, hands-on learning and discovery!
